FAQ and troubleshooting

What is the difference between a booking and a blocked date?

Reservation means that the date is occupied by a specific stay. Blocking a date means that the date is not available, but it may not be due to an actual guest booking.

Typical examples of blocking

  • the owner has blocked the date for himself
  • the date is closed for maintenance
  • the platform or system has entered a technical block

What this means for reporting

The reservation usually enters into an operational and financial perspective. Blocking a term may affect occupancy but may not translate into actual yield.

When is a good time to check it?

If the user sees a busy date in the calendar, but does not see the expected reservation, it is a good idea to first check whether it is a blocking issue.
